I've decided to take off in some subtlety new directions with the dolls, and I began by officially drawing some new patterns. This sweet girl is a bit taller and slimmer with more defined hands and neck. I've been poking around the internet looking at all kinds of beautiful dolls for inspiration. I keep coming back to how much I love making hair. I've been looking for a wigmaking tool, but I haven't been successful. I've made a cardboard tool before, but I wound this curly boucle from Magic Cabin around a book and freehanded the sewing on the machine. I then twisted the strands and stitched them to the head. This is one skein of boucle, and it covered the head perfectly.
